Skip Dines - Obermeyer Wealth

Skip Dines

EMERITUS | PARTNER

Skip retired from the firm in 2023. He continues to serve on our Executive Committee in his Emeritus role and mentors several team members.

Skip began his investment management career in 1986, working with several esteemed firms including Tempest, Isenhart, Chafee, Lansdowne and Associates, and Davis Capital Management, LLC, before becoming a partner at Wood Investment Counsel. Skip received a BS in biology from Lewis & Clark College.

On a Personal Note
Like many Colorado natives, Skip is an avid outdoorsman. When he isn’t working, Skip enjoys camping, fishing, and hunting throughout the Rocky Mountains, from Colorado to British Columbia. He and his wife also enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Helen Obermeyer

PARTNER

In her role as Partner, Helen advises the firm’s executive committee on corporate strategy, brand awareness, and community engagement.

Helen has been an Aspen resident for nearly three decades and is heavily involved with local and national nonprofits via work on boards of directors, including (HS)2, a STEM-based, college access program for first-generation and/or low-income students.  She is a longtime supporter of The Aspen Institute’s Words program and underwriter of Winter Words. She is also involved with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, particularly their birding and regenerative agriculture programs. She previously worked in the financial services industry with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Guggenheim Partners, and has a professional background in production with Jack Morton Productions. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University, where she earned her BA in French and literature.

On a Personal Note
In her free time, Helen enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her two daughters and her dog, Indie.

Tod Wood - Obermeyer Wealth

EMERITUS

Tod retired from the firm in 2025. He continues to serve the firm in an Emeritus role by supporting the Investment Committee and mentoring team members.

Tod has more than two decades of investment management experience, beginning as an analyst for ING Barings Securities in Tokyo in 1994, where he served as senior economist and analyst for the financial and telecommunications sectors. He joined JP Morgan Fleming in London as a portfolio manager for Japanese equities, and then served as analyst and portfolio manager for Tokyo-based Whitney & Co., a leading Japanese hedge fund. Tod received a BA in Asian studies from Pomona College and an MA in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
